Can Max-Level Troopers Clear Stage 124? | Hero Wars: Zombie Virus

                                   

I wanted to see how useful the most basic unit in the game could be this late in the stages.

For this Stage 124 run, I used max-level Troopers as my only combat units. I didn't produce any of the other combat units during the challenge.

This wasn't a completely unsupported Trooper run. I used boosters and defenses, and my character had the usual costume and suit bonuses equipped.

The idea was simply to see whether Troopers could still get the job done when they were the only combat unit being produced.

They made it all the way through Stage 124.

A Tough Diamond 2v2 Match | Hero Wars: Zombie Virus

 

                                   

This was one of those 2v2 matches where neither side could stay in control for very long.

We'd start pushing forward, then the other team would turn things around and push us back. The momentum kept changing throughout the match.

Eventually we managed to get one more good push going and took the win.

Diamond-tier 2v2 is definitely getting tougher, but matches like this are also a lot more fun to play.

Making the Zombies Fight for Me | Hero Wars: Zombie Virus

I was getting tired of fighting the same zombies, so this time I decided to use them instead.

Zombie Infection can turn enemies killed by infected zombies into allied zombies, so for a while they end up fighting on your side.

After the infection effect ended, I switched to Stimpacks and pushed through the remaining enemies.

Sometimes the easiest way to deal with zombies is to let them fight each other first.

                                   

Does One Missile Turret Really Make a Difference? | Hero Wars: Zombie Virus

 

I tried a simple test on Stage 31.

For the first run, I used only Troopers with no Missile Turret. Then I played the same stage again with the same basic units, but added a Missile Turret to the defense.

That one change made a surprisingly noticeable difference. The setup with the Missile Turret managed to hold out almost a full minute longer.

It's a simple comparison, but it shows how much one extra defense can change a battle in Hero Wars: Zombie Virus.

I Almost Lost This Twice | Hero Wars: Zombie Virus Gameplay

This stage got dangerous much earlier than I expected.

I was nearly overwhelmed during the first push, so I used Rapid Production to keep the units coming and managed to survive.

Later in the match, things went wrong again.

This time I installed a Laser Turret to help hold back the enemy. It was another close call, but the defense held long enough for me to recover and eventually clear the stage.

Two close calls in one stage. 😅

Emergency Support Wasn't Enough… So I Moved the Base | Hero Wars: Zombie Virus

Emergency support arrived, but I was still getting pushed back.

With the enemy getting closer, I moved the base forward to help attack and defend at the front line.

It was a close fight, but the move finally stopped the enemy push. From there, I managed to move forward again and clear the stage.

Definitely closer than I expected. 😅

I Thought the Match Was Over… Then the Shield Went Up | Hero Wars: Zombie Virus

I thought I had this 1v1 PvP match.

The enemy base was almost finished, so I used Stimpacks and went for one final push.

It looked like the match was basically over.

Then the enemy base suddenly activated a shield.

My attack stopped, the fight started going the other way, and I ended up losing the match. 😅

Definitely didn't see that coming.

Silver Is No Joke | Hero Wars: Zombie Virus 1v1 PvP

I thought I could handle this Silver-rank 1v1 match.

The fight started turning against me, so I tried everything I had to get back into it. I used my items and kept fighting, but it still wasn't enough.

Lost this one.

Looks like I shouldn't underestimate Silver anymore. 😅

I Got Too Confident in 1v1 PvP | Hero Wars: Zombie Virus

This one was completely my mistake.

The opponent looked manageable at first, so I decided to move my base forward and put on some early pressure.

For a moment, it looked like it might work.

Then the fight started turning the other way. I tried to pull the base back, but I waited too long.

Not every match goes according to plan. 😅

The Boss Was Down… But the Battle Wasn't Over | Hero Wars: Zombie Virus

Taking down the boss felt like the end of the stage.

It wasn't.

Right after the boss fight, the spaceships launched another attack and things got chaotic fast. We managed to hold on until some much-needed supplies arrived.

From there, there was only one thing left to do — push forward and finish the fight.

The Boss Almost Reached My Base | Hero Wars: Zombie Virus

This one got a little too close.

When the boss appeared, I decided to fall back and give myself some room. The problem was that the boss kept following us.

Eventually, the fight ended up right in front of the base.

We kept fighting, held the line, and finally managed to bring the boss down before it could push any farther.

Breaking Through the Missile Turret and Barricade | Hero Wars: Zombie Virus PvP

This 1v1 PvP battle turned into one obstacle after another.

The opponent first tried to stop the push with a Missile Turret. Once we destroyed it, they put down a Barricade to block us again.

So we broke through that too.

From there, we kept moving forward and eventually finished the battle with a win.

This Boss Kept Stopping the Push | Hero Wars: Zombie Virus

This battle was going nowhere for a while.

Every time we tried to move forward, the boss kept holding us back. So instead of trying to rush past him, we just kept fighting until we finally took him down.

That ended up being the turning point. Once the boss was gone, our army started moving forward again and we were able to push through the remaining enemies and clear the stage.

Sometimes You Just Need to Clear Them All | Hero Wars: Zombie Virus

Nothing complicated about this battle.

I just kept building up the army and pushing forward until we had enough firepower to clear everything in front of us.

Once the bigger units joined the fight, things got pretty chaotic. The final push was probably the most satisfying part of the whole battle. 😅

Trying the Same Stage Again with Lower Mineral Costs | Hero Wars: Zombie Virus

Yesterday I tried this stage and couldn’t finish it, so I came back for another attempt.

This time I lowered the mineral cost of my units before going into the battle. That meant I could deploy more units and keep reinforcing the front line as the zombies kept coming.

It was the same stage, but the battle went very differently this time.

I Moved the Base and Still Couldn't Survive | Hero Wars: Zombie Virus

This battle was pretty much a fight for survival from the start.

The zombies kept pushing us back, and eventually I moved the base just to give myself a little more room to keep fighting.

For a while, it looked like we might actually hold them off.

We didn't. 😅

The zombies eventually reached the base and that was the end of it.

Not a win this time, but it was fun seeing how long we could hold out.

I Thought This Battle Was Over | Hero Wars: Zombie Virus

This battle looked pretty bad for most of the fight.

The enemy kept pushing us back, and every time I thought we'd stopped them, we ended up losing more ground.

Eventually it got to the point where I was just trying to hold on for a little longer.

Somehow, that worked.

We finally stopped getting pushed back, started moving forward again, and slowly turned the battle around.

I definitely wasn't expecting to win this one. 😅
